A Legacy That Began Over 60 Years Ago
The journey of ICNA began in the 1960s in the United States with a simple yet powerful goal:
to bring people closer to Allah and build strong Muslim communities.
What started as a small effort has now, by the will of Allah, grown into a global movement with branches in many countries around the world.
From the beginning until today, the mission of ICNA has remained the same:
To strengthen our bond with the Creator
To live by the Qur’an and Sunnah
To prepare for a successful life in the Hereafter
Our success is not measured by buildings alone —
It is measured by faith, character, and our connection with Allah.
Building Today for Our Children’s Tomorrow
Alhamdulillah, in December 2024, ICNA Canada in Kitchener acquired this office property.
Located at 565 Trillium Drive, Unit 6, Kitchener, ON, we serve the Huron, Doon, Bleams/Strasburg, Williamsburg, and Activa neighbourhoods. Everyone is welcome, no matter your place, race, religion, or background. Share your ideas, thoughts, prayers, and generous donations to help us grow.
The Al-Falah Central Office, Kitchener, works as a chapter under ICNA Canada, following the same mission, values, and commitment to serving the Ummah.
We run programs like educational workshops, social services, outreach events, and spiritual support. These take place at different rented locations as needed, until we find a bigger central space. We work with local partners to meet current needs and honor our shared roots.
This office is not our destination —
it is the foundation of something greater.
We have started the journey.
Now we invite you to walk with us.
Our Vision for Kitchener
Our dream is to build a strong Muslim community rooted in the Qur’an, unity, and purpose.
In the next five years, with your support, we aim to:
• Purchase land
• Build a Mosque
• Open an Islamic School
• Establish a Youth & Community Centre
These will not be ordinary buildings.
They will be safe places for worship, learning, youth development, and community strength.
Why This Project Is Urgently Needed
Our children are growing in a world full of pressure, confusion, and harmful influences.
If we do not provide them with strong Islamic spaces, others will shape their future.
We want our children:
• To love the masjid
• To read and understand the Qur’an
• To feel proud of being Muslim
• To find good friends and guidance
• To remain close to their community
We do not want them searching for their identity in places that pull them away from Allah.
A mosque builds faith.
A school builds character.
A youth centre builds leaders.
Important Reminder: Office Prayer Room
Our office prayer room is reserved exclusively for staff use . This space is intended to support daily worship and reflection for employees. Community members are welcome to join us for Jumuah at nearby mosques (details posted separately).
Please maintain cleanliness, respect quiet zones, and follow posted guidelines to ensure a serene environment for all.
Vision
ICNA Canada’s vision is to build an Exemplary Canadian Muslim Community – A community that sets path towards personal excellence in faith, worship and morality and shares basis for the moral, social, and economic development of the Canadian Society.
Goal of ICNA Canada
Striving for this vision would help us achieve our goal that is to seek the pleasure of Allah (SWT) by total submission to Him and through the propagation of true and universal message of Islam, which was revealed by Allah (SWT) in the last book, “Al-Qur’an” and through His last messenger, Muhammad (SAW).
The propagation of true and universal message of Islam is only possible in Canada when whole Canadian Muslim Community transformed into a Dawah community by practicing and propagating the true Islamic Way of Life.
With the vision of building an exemplary Canadian Muslim community it is very important to spread the word of Islam, develop those who accepts to walk along, create an effective team of these people and extend our hands to help all human kind without any bias.
This transforms into following four mandated roles that are necessary to realize our vision.
- Dawah and Outreach
- Learning and Development (Tarbiyah)
- Organization
- Services to Humanity
